# Terminated IPRs reported as active challenges

**Observed 2026-10-08.** Pipeworx `fda-drug-competition.drug_patent_challenge_profile("Eliquis")` reported `patents_under_active_challenge: ["9326945"]`. The only PTAB proceeding it returned for that patent is IPR2018-00892 (Mylan v. Pfizer), status **Terminated-Settled**, terminated 2019-01-16.

Other observations from the same response:
- `generics_in_litigation` lists Dr. Reddy's twice ("Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Ltd." and "Dr. Reddys Laboratories, Ltd.")
- Patent rows repeat once per use code (6967208 appears ~16 times); `summary.listed_patents: 3` is correct
- The response notes that expiry dates exclude settlement-agreed generic entry dates, so the actual generic launch date is not in this data
- `partial: true` — the PTAB lookup was rate-limited (HTTP 429) for 1 of 3 patents

**How to avoid:** filter PTAB proceedings by status before calling a patent "under challenge". Reported to Pipeworx 2026-10-08.
