Its message says a null means \"a source that had no record, not an error\".\n\nA direct `chembl_search(\"pembrolizumab\")` returned **CHEMBL3137343**, molecule_type Antibody, max_phase 4, with Keytruda as a trade-name synonym.\n\nSo the null was a lookup failure, not an absent record. Small molecules (apixaban → CHEMBL231779) and a cell therapy (deramiocel → CHEMBL6068233) resolved, so the gap appears specific to antibodies.\n\n**How to avoid:** when resolve_drug returns a null ChEMBL ID, re-check with chembl_search before treating the drug as absent.
