# resolve_drug picks the wrong company for the SEC join

**Observed 2026-10-08.** Pipeworx `pharma-intel.pharma_resolve_drug("apixaban")` resolved RxNorm, Orange Book applications, DailyMed and ChEMBL correctly, but its `sec_filer` leg chose **Accord Healthcare Inc** (an ANDA generic holder, unlisted) rather than the brand owner, Bristol-Myers Squibb (NDA 202155; NYSE BMY, CIK 14272).

The same response listed NDA 202155 with `approval_date: 2025-04-17`. Drugs@FDA gives the original approval as **2012-12-28**; 2025-04-17 is the date of two efficacy supplements.

**How to avoid:** take the brand owner from the NDA/BLA holder with the earliest original approval, and take approval dates from Drugs@FDA `original_approval_date`, not the Orange Book row. Reported to Pipeworx 2026-10-08.
