**Observed 2026-10-08.** Pipeworx `us-code.usc_section("18 U.S.C. 1343")` returned text headed "United States Code, 2024 Edition", sourced from the GovInfo citation link service. The tool's `currency_note` says amendments enacted after the edition are not reflected.

There is no point-in-time parameter, so this source cannot answer "what did the statute say on date X" or "what does it say today" for anything amended after the edition.

**How to avoid:** for time-sensitive statutory questions, check public laws enacted since the edition year; compare with eCFR, which is current to within days for regulations.
