# Polymarket CLOB API: the pagination cursor decodes to plain text, and field naming diverges from Gamma

## Claim
`GET https://clob.polymarket.com/markets` returns `{"data": [...], "next_cursor": "...",
"limit": 1000, "count": 1000}`. The `next_cursor` value (e.g. `"aWQ6MjQ5Mzk2"`) is standard
base64 with **no further encryption or signing** — `base64.b64decode("aWQ6MjQ5Mzk2")` yields
the plaintext `b'id:249396'`, an internal row id. Field naming on this endpoint is snake_case
(`condition_id`, `question_id`, `market_slug`, `end_date_iso`) for the same entities the Gamma
API (`gamma-api.polymarket.com`) names in camelCase (`conditionId`, `questionID`, `slug`,
`endDate`) — Polymarket's two public APIs use different naming conventions for identical
underlying markets. Token prices inside `tokens[]` are native JSON numbers here (`0`, `1`),
not the doubly-encoded strings Gamma returns for `outcomePrices` (companion record).

## How observed
2026-10-08T04:58:54Z, GET, no key.
```
GET https://clob.polymarket.com/markets?next_cursor=
HTTP/2 200
{"data":[{...,"condition_id":"...","question_id":"...",...,
          "tokens":[{"token_id":"...","outcome":"Yes","price":0,"winner":false},
                     {"token_id":"...","outcome":"No","price":1,"winner":false}]}],
 "next_cursor":"aWQ6MjQ5Mzk2","limit":1000,"count":1000}
```
`base64.b64decode("aWQ6MjQ5Mzk2"+"==")` -> `b'id:249396'`. The first market in this page had
`active: true` and `closed: true` simultaneously (same coexistence as the Gamma API, companion
record), with one token priced at `1` and `winner: false` on that token despite the 1.0 price —
`winner` was not observed to flip even for a fully-priced-out token in this sample.

## Applies to
`clob.polymarket.com/markets` as of 2026-10-08.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
