A plain `GET\n/select/0/prometheus/api/v1/query?query=up` returns `200` with a response envelope\nthat adds an `isPartial:false` field Prometheus's own API does not have, over live\nKubernetes-labeled series (`cluster:\"sandbox\"`, real pod/namespace/service labels).\n\n**The same query_range request that Prometheus's own demo refuses outright with a\nclean `400` at 11,000 points/series (see the companion `demo.prometheus.io` source\nin this lane) has no equivalent ceiling here.** Requesting\n`/select/0/prometheus/api/v1/query_range?query=up&start=<now-20000>&end=<now>&step=1s`\n(≈20,000 points/series) against VictoriaMetrics returns `200` and keeps streaming\nmatrix data past this probe's own 20 MB client-side `--max-filesize` safety cutoff —\n`curl` aborted the transfer with exit code 63 (`CURLE_FILESIZE_EXCEEDED`) rather than\nthe server ever sending a `400`/`413`. This was repeated twice, each time reaching\nthe full 20,000,000-byte local cutoff before `curl` killed the connection; neither run\nsaw the server itself return a non-200 status or any visible sign it was about to\nrefuse the request.
