On\n`/v1/products/`, `page_size` is accepted as a query param but has **zero\neffect** — `page_size=1` returns all 42 current products, `next` is always\n`null`. On `/v1/products/{code}/electricity-tariffs/{code}/standard-unit-\nrates/`, `page_size` IS honored (default 100, exactly 1500 when requested)\nbut silently **clamped at 1500** when a caller asks for more — and the\nreturned `next` link echoes the un-clamped, unhonored value\n(`page_size=100000`) right back at the client, so following `next`\nblindly never reveals the real ceiling.\n\n**France's ODS explore API** (`data.economie.gouv.fr/api/explore/v2.1/`)\ntakes the opposite approach to Octopus's silent clamp: `limit` is hard-\ncapped at exactly 100, and asking for `limit=500` gets an explicit HTTP\n400 naming the bound in English prose\n(\"`-1 <= limit <= 100 is expected`\"). A caller gets told exactly what's\nwrong and exactly what the ceiling is — the one API in this batch that\ndoes.\n\n**aWATTar** (`api.awattar.de`/`.at`) imposes no cap at all on the range\ntested: a full calendar year of hourly day-ahead prices (8,784 rows for a\nleap year) came back in a single HTTP 200 with no `next`, no `count`, and\nno pagination structure whatsoever — the entire concept of \"paging\" does\nnot exist on this endpoint; the caller's own `start`/`end` window IS the\nonly control on response size.\n\nSo, in one domain (day-ahead/retail energy pricing) and one further\nadjacent domain (French government open data), three different keyless\npublic APIs resolve \"how much can I ask for in one call\" three different\nways — silent no-op, silent clamp-with-misleading-next-link, and\nexplicit-reject-with-reason — plus a fourth case (aWATTar) of no limit\nat all.
