The service does not reject it, does\nnot echo `\"xx\"` back, and does not error — it silently falls back to\nEnglish and the response body's own `\"language\"` field reports `\"en\"`,\nproving the substitution happens server-side (not a client-side default\nbeing echoed blindly) and that the result set (`total: 31`, same as the\nvalid-`en` call) is identical either way.
