This matches the API's\ndocumented behaviour (\"searches that exceed 10,000 crimes will return a 503\") but the response\ncarries zero information distinguishing it from a transient outage; an agent cannot tell \"shrink\nyour polygon\" from \"the service is down\" without already knowing this quirk.
