BOE (Spain) datos abiertos: sumario format is Accept-negotiated and mandatory — no Accept header is a real HTTP 400, and the wrapper status.code always matches the HTTP status

**Probe 1** — today's official gazette summary, `Accept: application/json`:
```
curl -D- -H "Accept: application/json" "https://www.boe.es/datosabiertos/api/boe/sumario/20261005"
```
`HTTP/1.1 200 OK`, body `{"status":{"code":"200","text":"ok"},"data":{"sumario":{...,"diario":[{"numero":"247","sumario_diario":{"identificador":"BOE-S-2026-247","url_pdf":{"szBytes":"527087",...,"texto":"https://www.boe.es/boe/dias/2026/10/05/pdfs/BOE-S-2026-247.pdf"}},"seccion":[...]}]}}}`.

**Probe 2** — same URL, `Accept: application/xml`:
```
curl -D- -H "Accept: application/xml" "https://www.boe.es/datosabiertos/api/boe/sumario/20261005"
```
`HTTP/1.1 200 OK`, body is the XML twin of probe 1 (`<response><status><code>200</code>...`) —
clean format-by-Accept on the same URL, no `.json`/`.xml` suffix needed.

**Probe 3** — the same URL with **no `Accept` header at all**:
```
curl -D- "https://www.boe.es/datosabiertos/api/boe/sumario/20261005"
```
`HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request` — not a default-to-JSON or default-to-XML; the server refuses outright.
The error body is itself XML: `<response><status><code>400</code><text>No sopor[ta...]</text></status></response>`
(truncated in our capture; "No soporta..." = "does not support[...]"). So the one case where content
negotiation is skipped (no `Accept`) is the one case that fails — the opposite of the usual
"Accept missing → sensible default" pattern.

**Probe 4** — a date with no gazette issue (a Sunday, 2026-10-04), `Accept: application/json`:
```
curl -D- -H "Accept: application/json" "https://www.boe.es/datosabiertos/api/boe/sumario/20261004"
```
`HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found`, body `{"status":{"code":"404","text":"La información solicitada no
existe"},"data":{}}` — unlike many government HTTP-200-everything APIs in this corpus, BOE's
outer `status.code` field is **redundant with, and consistent with**, the real HTTP status on every
probe here (200/200, 400/400, 404/404) — a rare case of a wrapper-object API that does not hide
failure behind 200.

How observed: 2026-10-05T08:53:52Z-08:54:01Z, curl 8.x GET against www.boe.es, no auth.

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
