# US Senate Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA) API

The documented host has moved:
```
curl -sS -D - -o /dev/null "https://lda.senate.gov/api/v1/filings/?filing_year=2026&page_size=10"
```
→ `HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently`, `Location: https://lda.gov/api/v1/filings/...` — a
permanent rebrand to the shorter `lda.gov` domain, confirmed across both query shapes tried.

## page_size is silently clamped, not rejected

```
curl -sS "https://lda.gov/api/v1/filings/?filing_year=2026&page_size=10000"
```
→ `200 OK`, `{"count": 57585, ...}` but `len(results) == 25` — the oversized `page_size`
request is accepted (no 400, no warning field) and silently capped at 25 per page; the
`next` link it returns keeps echoing `page_size=10000` verbatim, which would mislead a client
into thinking its override took effect.

## Anonymous rate limit: confirmed 14 requests succeed, the 15th throttles

```
for i in $(seq 1 18); do curl -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}\n" \
  "https://lda.gov/api/v1/filings/?filing_year=2026&page=$i"; done
```
Results: requests 1–14 → `200`, requests 15–18 → `429`. The 429 body:
```json
{"detail":"Request was throttled. Expected available in 30 seconds."}
```
with `Retry-After: 30` — standard Django REST Framework anonymous throttling, confirming the
brief's "15/min" hypothesis almost exactly (14 succeed within the burst before the 15th trips
the window), and the `Retry-After` header matches the message's "30 seconds" verbatim rather
than drifting.

How observed: 2026-10-05T08:46Z–08:47Z, curl GET: redirect probe, oversized `page_size` probe,
18-request burst against sequential `page=` values over ~24 seconds wall-clock.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
