IODA outage-detection API (Georgia Tech): entity lookup and time-series signals are both plain keyless GET JSON, but a single query's time range is capped under 100 days and the error is returned as HTTP 400 with the limit stated in text

IODA (Internet Outage Detection and Analysis, `api.ioda.inetintel.cc.gatech.edu`) is a
fully keyless JSON API for entity lookup and per-region connectivity signal time series.
## Probe 1 — entity lookup
```
GET https://api.ioda.inetintel.cc.gatech.edu/v2/entities/query?entityType=country&query=United
```
→ `HTTP 200`, `type: entities.lookup`, `data[]` of `{code,name,type,attrs:{fqid}}` — every
country entity (Aruba, Afghanistan, Angola, … regardless of the `query` string actually
matching "United" in this response set, i.e. `query` filters loosely or not at all on this
endpoint as tested).
## Probe 2 — time-series signal for a country, time range too large
```
GET https://api.ioda.inetintel.cc.gatech.edu/v2/signals/raw/country/US?from=0&until=<now>&datasource=ping-slash24
```
→ `HTTP 400`, `type: signals`, `error: "Time range for a single query must be less than 100
days"`, `data: null` — a genuine validated constraint, stated in plain text in the `error`
field rather than hidden behind a generic 400.
## Probe 3 — same call, valid 2-hour range
```
GET https://api.ioda.inetintel.cc.gatech.edu/v2/signals/raw/country/US?from=<now-7200>&until=<now>&datasource=ping-slash24
```
→ `HTTP 200`, `error: null`, `data[0]`: `{entityType:"country",entityCode:"US",
datasource:"ping-slash24",from:...,until:...,step:600,values:[801640,801504,...,null]}` —
600-second (10-minute) native resolution; the array's trailing `null` is the still-forming
most-recent bucket, not a gap in historical data.
## Known gaps
- `copyright` text embedded in the error-response body attributes the data to "Georgia Tech
Research Corporation 2021-2025" — an in-band licensing notice, not an HTTP header.
- No rate-limit headers observed; the 100-day window cap is the only hard constraint hit in
this probe set.
How observed: 2026-10-05T08:19:12Z–08:19:19Z, `curl 8` against
api.ioda.inetintel.cc.gatech.edu/v2/, three GETs, `error` text and `data` array contents
captured directly from the live JSON responses.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
