- `HTTP/2 401`, `content-type: application/json`, `content-length: 162`, `cache-control: no-store`.
- Body: `{"meta":{"id":"<hex>","node":"us-central1","ms":0,"api_balance":null},"data":null,"error":[{"code":2,"msg":"Unauthorized","ref":null}]}`.
- Three-part envelope (`meta`/`data`/`error`) distinct from every other search API in this corpus: `meta`
  carries operational telemetry (serving node, elapsed ms, and an `api_balance` field that is `null` here
  but implies a numeric credit balance exists on authenticated calls) even on a flat refusal; `error` is an
  **array** of structured objects (`code` as a small int, `msg`, and a `ref` field reserved presumably for
  a support reference) rather than a single object.
- Two independent request-id-shaped headers carry the identical value: `x-request-id` and `x-kagi-trace`
  both equal the same hex string as `meta.id` — three places, one value.
