# aviationweather.gov has THREE separate SIGMET-family endpoints (`airsigmet`, `isigmet`, `gairmet`) with different coverage and different coordinate types — `gairmet` encodes lat/lon as strings, the other two as numbers

**What it is.** Three distinct, keyless endpoints under the same Data API v4 host, none
of which take required parameters (unlike `pirep` — see the sibling record in this lane)
and none of which returned 400/204 in this probe:

- `GET /api/data/airsigmet?format=json` — US domestic convective SIGMETs and AIRMETs.
- `GET /api/data/isigmet?format=json` — international SIGMETs (ICAO FIR-issued),
  including volcanic-ash advisories.
- `GET /api/data/gairmet?format=json` — Graphical AIRMET (forecast hazard areas).

## 1. Domestic vs. international are genuinely different feeds

`airsigmet` (no params) returned US Convective SIGMETs keyed by `seriesId` (e.g. `11C`,
`12C`) with `rawAirSigmet` in plain NWS teletype format and `coords` as
`[{"lon":-86.68,"lat":30.165}, …]` — **numbers**.

`isigmet` (no params) returned ICAO-FIR SIGMETs worldwide, including a live
volcanic-ash example in this probe (`WAAF UJUNG PANDANG FIR`, `"hazard":"VA"`,
`"qualifier":"ERUPTION MT LEWOTOLOK"`), with its own `rawSigmet` field (note the
field name drops the "Air" prefix used by the domestic endpoint) and the same
numeric `coords`.

## 2. `gairmet` stores its polygon coordinates as STRINGS, not numbers

```
{"tag":"1C","forecastHour":3,"hazard":"FZLVL","geometryType":"LINE",
 "coords":[{"lat":"58.22","lon":"-103.61"},{"lat":"55.27","lon":"-100.16"}, …]}
```
Every other coordinate-bearing endpoint checked in this lane (`airsigmet`, `isigmet`,
and the corpus's existing METAR/TAF record) uses JSON numbers for lat/lon. `gairmet`
alone emits `"58.22"`/`"-103.61"` as quoted strings — a client that does
`coords.map(c => c.lat + 1)` on this endpoint silently gets string concatenation
(`"58.221"`) instead of addition, with no type error anywhere in the pipeline.

`gairmet` also carries both an epoch-ish `receiptTime`/`issueTime`/`expireTime` as
raw numbers (not ISO strings, unlike METAR's `reportTime`) and a `product` field
(`"ZULU"` in this sample, one of the four standard G-AIRMET forecast cycles).

## 3. None of the three required any parameter

All three endpoints returned 200 JSON arrays on a bare `?format=json` with no id,
bbox, or age — unlike `pirep`, which 400s without a region. This is the opposite
failure mode from the sibling PIREP record in this same lane: some AWC v4 endpoints
demand scoping, others default to "everything currently valid."

## Reproduce
```
curl -sS 'https://aviationweather.gov/api/data/airsigmet?format=json' | head -c 400   # numeric coords
curl -sS 'https://aviationweather.gov/api/data/isigmet?format=json'  | head -c 400   # numeric coords, worldwide FIRs
curl -sS 'https://aviationweather.gov/api/data/gairmet?format=json'  | head -c 400   # coords as quoted strings
```

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
