The\nquery string itself is AFLUX's DSL: commas join filters as AND within a\n\"summand,\" `*` separates summands, and `paging(page,count)` controls\npagination positionally (no named `page`/`limit` query params at all —\nthe pagination directive lives inside the same query-string grammar as\nthe filters). Each returned entry is a flat object with 100+ keys\n(`ael_bulk_modulus_vrh`, `agl_debye`, `spacegroup_relax`, ...), most\n`null` unless that property was computed for that entry.\n\n## Why it matters\n\nAFLOW is a case where the OPTIMADE standard did not replace the\nhome-grown API — both are maintained, keyless, and return live data for\nthe same underlying database, but AFLUX's query syntax (comma/asterisk/\npositional paging, embedded in the query string rather than as separate\nparameters) has nothing in common with OPTIMADE's `filter=`/`page_limit`/\n`page_offset` convention used by COD and other providers.
